We are a small perfectly situated site, overlooking the village of Bowes, with its medieval castle. The site is between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennines, designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, and within easy reach of the Lake District. The site is only a 200 yard walk from the Ancient Unicorn Hotel, which serves food and drink, and only four miles from the historic market town of Barnard Castle, with its many restaurants, shops and bars. Local visitor attractions include the Bowes Museum, High Force, the South Tynedale Railway, Raby castle and many more. For keen walkers and dog owners, the Pennine Way and the Walney to Wear cycle ride pass through the village. The local area boasts many beautiful walks and cycle rides.
